Sedmoga dana mjeseca veljače, godine Gospodnje 2026., družina Reda Srebrnog Zmaja pohodi polja Donje Stubice, gdje se svake godine uprizori boj u spomen na Seljačku bunu. Ovoga puta sudbina nas svrsta pod stijeg Franje Tahyja, te stadosmo među njegove čete, oklopom i oružjem braneći red i vlast kako su to činili vojnici u ona vremena.

U metežu boja zveckahu oklopi, barjaci se vijahu, a dim i poklici ispuniše zrak dok se bitka razbukta na stubičkom polju.

Bratstvo među sudionicima bijaše pravo, te dan prođosmo u druženju i oživljavanju povijesti pred očima mnogih.

Tako družina naša još jednom upisa svoj trag u ljetopis pohoda, dok već mislimo na nove susrete pod zastavama minulih vremena.

On the seventh day of February, in the Year of Our Lord 2026, the Company of the Silver Dragon journeyed to the fields of Donja Stubica, where each year a battle is held in memory of the Peasants’ Revolt. On this occasion fate placed us beneath the banner of Franjo Tahy, and we stood among his ranks, defending order and authority with armour and steel, as soldiers did in those times of old.

In the tumult of battle armours clanked, banners flew, and smoke and shouts filled the air as the clash unfolded upon the Stubica field.

True was the brotherhood among the participants, and the day passed in fellowship while history was brought to life before the eyes of many.

Thus our company once more inscribed its mark into the chronicles of its journeys, even as we already look toward future gatherings beneath the banners of ages past.

Četrnaestog dana mjeseca lipnja godine Gospodnje 2025., družina naša pohodi slavno mjesto Trocnov, rodno tlo vojvode Jana Žižke, gdje sudjelovasmo u Bitci kod Trocnova – godišnjem zbivanju usmjerenom na život i vojnu službu tijekom prvih husitskih ratova.

Tijekom borbi oživjesmo husitski tabor, okušasmo u borbenim igrama, gdje ratnici utvrdiše svoju hrabrost, spretnost i oštrinu oružja. U nadmetanju snage i brzine, svaki se borac trsio pokazati da je dostojan stajati u prvim redovima. Potom se bacismo u veliku bitku gdje oklopi zveckahu, zastave vijahu, a duh borbe bijaše jak.

Ne bijaše sve samo mač i štit! Naš kuhar u natjecanju zasluži treće mjesto, donijevši nam čast među loncima i kotlovima. A kako i priliči ratnicima u tuđini, valja priznati da smo se najedali raznih ukusnih jela i popili piva toliko da bi i sam Žižka podigao obrvom u čudu.

Na kraju posjetismo Archeoskanzen Trocnov, arheološki muzej na otvorenom koji prikazuje srednjovjekovna sela s kućama, alatima i načinom života s kraja 14. stoljeća, služeći kao edukativni prikaz svakodnevice tadašnjeg puka, njegovih zanata, poljoprivrede i arhitekture.

Radost nam bijaše provesti vrijeme u dobroj bratiji, stari savezi učvrstiše se, a nova prijateljstva rodiše. Već iščekujemo iduće okupljanje, koje je zakazano 14. lipnja 2026.

On the fourteenth day of the month of June in the Year of Our Lord 2025, our company journeyed to the renowned place of Trocnov, the birthplace of the noble commander Jan Žižka, where we took part in the Battle of Trocnov — an annual gathering devoted to the life and military service of the early Hussite wars.

Throughout the clashes we brought the Hussite camp to life and tested ourselves in martial games, wherein the warriors proved their courage, skill, and sharpness of weapon. In contests of strength and swiftness, each fighter strove to show himself worthy of standing in the foremost ranks. Thereafter we hurled ourselves into the great battle, where armour clattered, banners flew, and the spirit of war burned strong.

Yet not all was sword and shield! In the cooking contest our cook earned a noble third place, winning us honour among pots and cauldrons. And, as befits warriors travelling far from home, it must be confessed that we feasted upon many a tasty dish and drank enough beer to make even Žižka himself raise an eyebrow in wonder.

At last we visited the Archeoskanzen Trocnov, an open-air archaeological museum depicting medieval villages with their houses, tools, and the way of life of the late 14th century, serving as an instructive display of the common folk’s daily labours, crafts, agriculture, and architecture.

Great was our joy to spend time in good company; old alliances were strengthened and new friendships forged. We already await the next gathering, set for the fourteenth day of June, in the Year of Our Lord 2026.

U ljeto Gospodnje dvije tisuće dvadeset i pete, družina Reda Srebrnog Zmaja pohodi Lepoglavu, gdje sudjelovasmo u snimanju emisije „Oživljena povijest“.

Prikazasmo život plaćenika, vježbasmo boj i pokazasmo tabor Reda, onakav kakav bijaše u danima stare slave.

Zahvaljujemo prijateljima iz udruge BANAF na snimanju i lijepom druženju, kao i svim vitezovima, gospama i gosparima koji su s nama dijelili taj dan.

In the summer of the year of our Lord 2025, the Company of the Silver Dragon visited Lepoglava, where we participated in the filming of the show "History Revived".

We showed the life of mercenaries, trained for battle and presented the camp of the Company, as it was in the glory days of old.

We thank our friends from the BANAF association for the filming and the nice company, as well as all the knights, ladies and gentlemen who shared that day with us.

U ovo ljeto Gospodnje, družina naša pohodiše mnoge krajeve i zbivanja, noseći duh prošlih vremena i prikaze plaćeničkog života.

Trećega dana mjeseca svibnja, u Konjščini, na 16. sajmu pri Starom gradu, stupismo u mimohod nakon kojeg okušasmo se u boju, gdje oružje zveckalo, a bojna slava bijaše dijeljena.

Desetoga dana svibnja, u gradu Sisku, na Povijesnom pikniku: Dani Kraljevstva, u čast 1100. ljeta od krunidbe kralja Tomislava, plaćenici naši podigoše radionicu „Mala škola mačevanja“, gdje djeca okušaše mač i štit. Dan bijaše vedar i lagodan, pa i družina naša u miru okrijepi dušu i tijelo.

Dvadeset i prvoga lipnja, u staroj utvrdi Jelengrad, bijaše održan Renaissance party, gdje zvuci glazbe suvremene susretoše srednjovjekovni oklop i oružje. Tako plesasmo pod zvijezdama, a i sami se šalismo da su bubnjevi našega doba zamijenjeni spravama koje proizvode grom i tutanj čudesan.

Trinaestoga dana mjeseca srpnja, u Lepoglavi, na Lepoglavskim danima, uprizorismo plaćenički tabor i vježbasmo boj. Ondje nas i udruga BANAF snimi za treću epizodu treće sezone emisije Oživljena povijest. Družismo se i s prijateljima iz Viteški red Sv.Nikole, gdje bratstvo u vježbi i veselju još više učvrsti naše redove. A kad zveket oružja utihnu, drugovi se dadoše na igru kocke, jer ni ratnici nijesu lišeni poroka.

Tako družina Reda Srebrnog Zmaja prođe kroz dane mnoge, uz mač, bratstvo i veselje, dok novi pohodi već na obzorju niču.

In this summer of our Lord, our company visited many places and events, carrying the spirit of past times and depictions of mercenary life.

On the third day of May, in Konjščina, at the 16th fair near the Old Town, we took part in a parade, after which we tried our hand at battle, where weapons clanged and battle glory was shared.

On the tenth day of May, in the town of Sisak, at the Historical Picnic: Days of the Kingdom, in honor of the 1100th anniversary of the coronation of King Tomislav, our mercenaries set up a workshop called "Little School of Fencing", where children tried their hand at sword and shield. The day was bright and easy, and our company also refreshed their soul and body in peace.

On the twenty-first of June, in the old fortress of Jelengrad, a Renaissance party was held, where the sounds of contemporary music met medieval armor and weapons. So we danced under the stars, and we ourselves joked that the drums of our time had been replaced by devices that produce thunder and a wondrous roar.

On the thirteenth of July, in Lepoglava, during the Lepoglava Days, we staged a mercenary camp and practiced battle. There, the BANAF association filmed us for the third episode of the third season of the show Oživena povijest. We also socialized with friends from the Knights' Order of St. Nicholas, where brotherhood in exercise and joy strengthened our ranks even more. And when the clang of weapons fell silent, the comrades started playing dice, because even warriors are not without vices.

Thus the Company of the Silver Dragon passed through many days, with swords, brotherhood and joy, while new campaigns were already emerging on the horizon.

Iako nas neko vrijeme ovdje niste vidjeli ni čuli, nismo nestali… Samo smo se skrivali iza oklopa!

Dana 27. travnja godine Gospodnje 2025. naši plaćenici sudjelovaše na proslavi 70. rođendana Dječjeg kazališta Dubrava.

U viteškom taboru blještaše naši oklopnici, dok su naši meštri svaku radoznalu dušu, a naročito najmlađe, podučavali tajnama luka, strijela i samostrela.

Hvalimo vas, dragi domaćine, što nas pozvaste u svoj dvor na ovu svečanost.

Budite pripravni jer ne mirujemo dugo, novi pohodi nas zovu!

Although you haven't seen or heard from us here for a while, we haven't disappeared... We've just been hiding behind our armor!

On April 27th in the year of our Lord 2025, our mercenaries participated in the celebration of the 70th birthday of the Dubrava Children's Theater.

Our armors shone in the encampment, while our masters taught every curious soul, especially the youngest, the secrets of the bow and arrow and crossbow.

We thank you, dear hosts, for inviting us to your palace for this celebration.

Dana 19. listopada godine Gospodnje 2024. naši plaćenici sudjelovali su na manifestaciji Srednjovjekovni grad Cernik 2024. koji se održao u podnožju dvorca Kulmer-Marković.

Posjetiteljima smo prikazali kako su mogli izgledati i kakvu opremu su imali ratnici kasnog 14. stoljeća, kako se oblači i nosi viteški oklop, a oni najhrabriji mogli su se okušati u mačevalačkom dvoboju s našim vitezom u nastajanju!

Zahvaljujemo Cernik - Turizam počinje ovdje na gostoprimstvu i dobrom provodu te se nadamo da se vidimo i iduće godine!

On October 19th in the year of our Lord 2024, our mercenaries took part in the event Medieval Town of Cernik 2024 event, which took place at the foot of the Kulmer-Marković castle.

We showed the visitors what the warriors of the late 14th century might have looked like and what equipment they had, how knight armor was dressed and worn, and the bravest could try their hand at a fencing duel with our knight-in-the-making!

We thank "Cernik - Turizam počinje ovdje" for the hospitality and good time, and we hope to see you next year!

Na dane 5. i 6. listopada godine Gospodnje 2024. sudjelovali smo na XVII. Srednjovjekovnim danima na Medvednici koji su održani na starom gradu Medvedgradu.

Naši plaćenici su se dobro proveli upoznavajući posjetitelje sa opremom srednjovjekovnih ratnika, bruseći svoj borbeni zanat lakim treningom, boreći se za naklonost Crne kraljice i podučavajući najmlađe posjetitelje vještini borbe mačem.

On October 5th and 6th in the year of our Lord 2024, we participated in the XVII Medieval days on Medvednica, which were held in the old town of Medvedgrad.

Our mercenaries had a great time introducing visitors to the equipment of medieval warriors, honing their combat craft with light training, fighting for the favor of the Black Queen and teaching the youngest visitors the art of swordcraft.

We would like to thank the organizers of the Association of Knights of the Golden Chalice for the hospitality and the good atmosphere!

Dana 3. ožujka godine Gospodnje 2024. sudjelovali smo u 19. uprizorenju bitke kod Samobora, kojom se obilježava pobjeda kraljice Elizabete Luksemburške i vojske Ulrika II. Celjskog, pod zapovjedništvom češkog plaćenika Jana Vitoveca, nad snagama poljskog kralja Vladislava Jagelovića.

Zahvaljujemo organizatorima Samoborski muzej i radujemo se nadolazećoj 20. obljetnici!

On March 3rd 2024 AD, we participated in the 19th reenactment of the Battle of Samobor, which commemorates the victory of Queen Elizabeth of Luxembourg and the army of Ulrich II, Count of Celje, under the command of the Czech mercenary Jan Vitovec, over the forces of the Polish king Vladislaus II of Hungary.

We thank the organizers Samobor Museum and look forward to the upcoming 20th Anniversary!

Dana 9. rujna godine Gospodnje 2023. po prvi put sudjelovali smo na manifestaciji "Srednjovjekovni grad Cernik" podno istoimenog dvorca.

Naša mala plaćenička skupina najmlađe je podučavala vještinama mača u "Maloj školi mačevanja", zainteresiranima je prezentirala vojnu opremu ratnika srednjega vijeka, a oni hrabri mogli su se okušati i u srednjovjekovnom načinu paljenja vatre!

Zahvaljujemo svim posjetiteljima, sudionicima i organizatorima "Cernik - Turizam počinje" ovdje na pozivu!

[ENGLISH] On September 9th in the year of the Lord 2023, for the first time, we took part in the event "Medieval town of Cernik" at the foot of the castle of the same name.

Our small mercenary group taught the youngest visitors sword skills in the "Little School of Swordsmanship", presented the military equipment of medieval warriors to those interested, and those who were brave could try their hand at the medieval method of starting a fire!
